Yes, we have been sitting beneath a circling cyclone for the past two days and the area near the beach is flooded-Maroubra Beach. As for taller than 5’2″ I wish – I cannot reach the cupboards

I hope the area you lived fared better than mine over the weekend. The whole of Sydney got hammered! I am 4’10, and regard anyone over that as a show-off!

“While we were inundated with about 2-3 inches it didn’t stick, however we did have a cyclone that sat overhead for 2 -3 hours. The parts of the suburb nearer the beach were flooded and erosion has brought several homes to precarious positions on the slopes.
