  2. The tulips are beautiful. It brought a memory to the forefront of my mind. My dad planted tulips every year. Your photo closely resembles what our yard looked like each summer. He worked for hours on those tulip beds. I didn’t realize or even care about it at the time, I was too busy being a teen. He mowed our lawn with a push mower, raked up the clippings with a wooden rake and put them in bushel baskets. We (my siblings and I) used to get lost so we wouldn’t have to help him. As I look at your photo I can almost feel the joy and satisfaction that he must have felt each year and wish I could turn back the clock. I would go out there and help him. I would let him know that I appreciated sharing his love for the beauty of what he was doing. He is long gone now but I remember.
